The web site has been put together by Elaine Clark and Nigel Herring who have some 50 years of accounting experience between them.
Elaine Clark
Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the late '80s, Elaine has led a successful career in the finance and IT world.
In recent years she specialised in Internet Computing and combined this with her accounting background to launch Award Winning CheapAccounting.co.uk, one of the fastest growing on line accountancy practices in the UK.
She is now described as a 'thought leader within the industry and a trusted adviser to small accountancy firms' by Sokratis Papafloratos, head of social products at Yell.
She is widely recognised as a trail blazer in the use of social media within the Accountancy Profession. She now finds that other firms are emulating her business model as being the future set up for small accountancy firms.
In her spare time, Elaine likes to spend as much time as possible pursuing her hobby of walking and often can be found making an early get away on a Friday for a weekend in the fresh air!
Nigel Herring
Nigel Herring qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in Leeds and has over 20 years experience in accountancy.
For the last 10 years he has run his own accountancy practice specialising in advising small and start up businesses on a range of accounting, taxation and general business issues.
Nigel believes that his experience of building, running and eventually selling his own small business is invaluable in helping to give practical advice to those wishing to establish their own practice.
Married to Sue, he has 3 daughters and his interests include travel and football.
